Chapter Chapter 2 in The Complex Environments of Special Economic Zones, 2025, pp 9-24 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter focuses on policy and organisational issues. The objective is to present a framework for the Special Economic Zones instrument, which will describe the inter-organisational relationships and forms of collaboration among academic institutions, industrial organisations, researchers, policymakers, and institutional actors who are involved in a joint project to promote regional development. The goal is to present an overview of the current state of Special Economic Zones (SEZ), beginning with their objectives and global distribution and proceeding to an analysis of the primary governance models.
