Chapter Chapter 6 in Revisiting the Energy-Development Link, 2016, pp 39-71 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The Energy Intensities of 22 countries as well as the global economy are estimated on the basis of the framework proposed in Chap. 5 . The estimates are compared with those based on the prevailing framework as presented in Chap. 4 . The differences are essential and imply completely different perspectives for the dependency of future growth on energy. In order to shed light on the intricate link between energy and growth, estimates for a number of additional indicators are also provided.
