Chapter Chapter 6 in Business Cycles in the Run of History, 2016, pp 85-94 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter begins with an examination and critical evaluation of the standard macroeconomic model. It continues by describing the core of the DSGE models and by showing the difficulties to explain the main features of the 2007–2008 global crisis. Finally, it gives a plea for mixing today macroeconomics and Hendry’s econometric methodology.
