Chapter Chapter 8 in Fighting Global Poverty, 2022, pp 85-90 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Thanks to the reform of international payments explained in the previous chapter, developing countries are able to reclaim their policy space. They now can design successful development strategies and pursue active economic policies to generate employment, strengthen productivity, and reduce poverty through public investment that crowds in the private sector. Current account deficits no longer lead to crises.
