Chapter Chapter 2 in Comprehensive Evaluation of Effective Biomass Resource Utilization and Optimal Environmental Policies, 2015, pp 19-32 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Miyun County is the largest rural suburb and the most important county of Beijing. Miyun County has a unique significance for the regional environment, and dramatically influences the water safety and local development of Beijing. In the catchment areas of Miyun Reservoir, stockbreeding wastes are generated and heavily contribute to water pollution, especially pig farming, which has become the source of the most serious pollutants of Miyun Reservoir. In this Chapter, the characteristics of the Miyun County, Miyun Reservoir, and the study area, and the current environmental conditions are presented.
