Abstract: Abstract For our study we have used the 57th round data of National Sample Survey Organisation (NSSO) pertaining to the period 2001–2002. This round collected detailed information on economic and operational characteristics of unorganized service sector enterprises (excluding trade and finance) in addition to data on household consumer expenditure and employment-unemployment in India.
