Abstract: Abstract The assessments of the monetary system in Qing period in China are divided. The changes in copper-silver price ratioCopper-silver price ratio were consistent with the prediction of OCA theory. But this is not enough to affirmatively evaluate the currency system. An appropriate evaluation should aim at improving market performance.
