Chapter Chapter 6 in The Growth of the Fruit and Vegetable Export Industry in Peru, 2022, pp 71-76 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The FFV export industry in Peru has rapidly developed in the past two decades. Agribusiness companies’ individual and joint efforts, with help from the public sector, has made the industry one of the most dynamic sectors in the national economy. However, the availability of productions factors, namely labor and water, remain as potential constraints to its sustainable development. This chapter briefly summarizes the findings of this study and describes government efforts to overcome these constraints. In addition, this chapter presents a future research agenda on the structure of industrial organizations by presenting a hypothesis on the evolution of value chains in agriculture.
