Abstract: Abstract In 2014, the Chinese Government stated that the Chinese economy had entered the “new normal,” i.e., a phase defined by stable growth, and announced its intention to continue introducing reforms characterized by a shift from the crude, investment-dependent growth strategy previously opted for and an emphasis on market mechanisms.
