Chapter Chapter 3 in Environmental and Social-economic Impacts of Sewage Sludge Treatment, 2016, pp 29-55 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In this chapter, a comprehensive optimization simulation model was constructed which has four submodels that are: water pollutant balance model, energy model, GHG model, and socio-economic model. The objective function is the maximization of economic growth. Integrated policies by using advanced sewage and sewage sludge treatment technologies are dynamically simulated in this model. Based on this simulation results, optimal integrated policies, sewage, and sewage sludge treatment technologies can be selected. The environmental and economic impact of sewage sludge treatment can be forecasted.
