Abstract:
Abstract A detailed account of Prof. G.V. Milovanović’s mathematical work, on the occasion of his 60th birthday, is given. He obtained important results in several fields of Numerical Analysis and Approximation Theory. The topics to which he made his most important contributions include: Orthogonal polynomials and systems; Polynomials (extremal problems, inequalities, and zeros); Approximations by polynomials and splines; Quadrature processes.
