Chapter Chapter 1 in Advances in Matrix Inequalities, 2021, pp 1-18 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In this chapter, we review the basic concepts, definitions, and theorems which are used throughout the book. Most of the material will be familiar to a reader who has had a standard Operator Theory, Linear Algebra, and Matrix Analysis courses. So it is presented quickly with no proofs. Some topics might be less familiar. These are treated here in somewhat greater detail.
