Chapter Chapter 5 in Continuous Nonlinear Optimization for Engineering Applications in GAMS Technology, 2017, pp 119-145 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The optimization problems considered in this book involve minimization or maximization of a function of several real variables subject to one or more constraints. The constraints may be nonnegativity of variables, simple bounds on variables, and equalities or inequalities as functions of these variables. These problems are known as continuous nonlinear constrained optimization or nonlinear programming.
