Abstract:
Abstract The purpose of this paper is to review the different generalizations and extensions of the ergodic theorem of information theory in terms of reference measure, state space, index set and required properties (ergodicity, stationarity, etc.) of the process, from the original Shannon-McMillan-Breiman version to its latest developments.
