Nathalie Marcoux, Diane Riopel and André Langevin

Chapter Chapter 5 in Logistics Systems: Design and Optimization, 2005, pp 123-170 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter first presents an extensive list of the strategic, tactical, and operational objectives found in the literature for facilities layout and handling system design. Based on these premises, the main objective of this chapter is to present a survey of operations research processors (models and methods) for the macro design problem, the focus being on their applicability to real-life problems.
