Chapter Chapter 3 in Differentiable Manifolds, 2012, pp 49-65 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Differential forms are completely skew-symmetric tensor fields. They are applied in some areas of physics, mainly in thermodynamics and classical mechanics, and of mathematics, such as differential equations, differential geometry, Lie groups, and differential topology. Many of the applications of differential forms are presented in subsequent chapters.
