Abstract: Abstract Chapter 5 is devoted to establishing the theory of Gröbner bases in the exterior algebra, and uses exterior techniques to give a proof of the Alexander duality theorem which establishes isomorphisms between simplicial homology and cohomology of a simplicial complex and its Alexander dual.
