Abstract This section of this book introduces the first step in the PADD approach to accumulating and managing wealth: protecting yourself against the risk of catastrophic financial loss. In this chapter, we discuss the most important form of risk management: insuring your life (and protecting your loved ones from the resulting loss of income at death) by purchasing life insurance.
