Software Development: Debugging and Testing

Vinay Trivedi

Chapter Chapter 9 in How to Speak Tech, 2014, pp 89-95 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In 2009, Toyota faced allegations that some of its cars had sticky accelerator pedals. In January 2010, the company recalled 4.1 million Toyota vehicles to repair faulty accelerator pedals. The defect was a bug in the product, and we can draw an analogy between Toyota and pretty much any Internet company. Facebook, Google, and MyAppoly all have and will continue to have bugs, but great teams identify them in the development process before the product is released for customers’ use.
