Abstract:
Abstract When an exact algebraic computation fails, you can often resort to series approximations, using the theory of Taylor and Laurent expansions. Sometimes, a series approximation is even sufficient to get exact results, for instance, in calculations of limits. This idea is exploited by Maple; therefore, this chapter includes calculation of limits.
