A chapter in Algebraic Methods in Operator Theory, 1994, pp 144-152 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The completely bounded norm of an inner derivation of a C*-algebra is determined in terms of the central Haagerup tensor norm. As a consequence, it is equal twice the distance of an implementing element to the center of the local multiplier algebra.
