Chapter Chapter 6 in Group Theoretical Methods and Their Applications, 1992, pp 159-179 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In conformity with the purpose of this book, we shall here discuss the topics in which group theory methods play a vital part. However, we shall have to confine ourselves to just giving a brief outline of the concepts used in the various fields of application. We shall attempt to present these ideas in a manner such that even nonexpert readers will find them palatable and refer the interested reader to the literature for more detailed information.
