Chapter 2 in ITSM: An Interactive Time Series Modelling Package for the PC, 1991, pp 4-56 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Simply type PEST↩. You will then be asked to type 1↩, 2↩, 3↩ or 4↩ to indicate whether your computer has a Hercules, CGA, EGA/VGA or NCR High-resolution graphics adaptor. After typing the appropriate response you should see the screen displayed in Figure 2.1. If you do not see the rectangle (or if your screen goes blank) type 1↩, then 2↩, then 3↩, then 4↩, until you obtain the required display. (If you are unable to get the required display, check that ANSI.SYS has been loaded as described in Section 1.2.) Make a note of your graphics code number as it is used for all the programs with graphics. Most EGA/VGA cards will work either with graphics code 2 or 3 but choice 3 will give higher resolution.
