Chapter Section 4 in Counterexamples in Topology, 1978, pp 28-33 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Connectedness denies the existence of certain subsets of a topological space with the property that Ū ∩ V = ∅ and U ∩ $$ {\bar V} $$ = ∅. Any two such subsets are said to be separated in the space. Although this concept is logically related to the separation axioms, it examines the structure of topological spaces from the opposite point of view.
