Irving Fisher

A. Vogt

A chapter in Statisticians of the Centuries, 2001, pp 268-272 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract With his crusades for health, the League of Nations etc., Irving Fisher lost about half of his working time as professor of economics. Otherwise, his “pillars and arches,” as Schumpeter called his contributions to theoretical economics, might have grown to a kind of temple of economics/econometrics.
