A chapter in Mathematics Tomorrow, 1981, pp 135-138 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Exactly ten years ago this month I was helping to write an editorial for the Journal of the New York State Mathematics Association of Two-Year Colleges on essentially the same topic as this article. Entitled “University Dominated,” the editorial expressed the frustration of a growing number of junior or two-year college mathematics educators with the lack of an honest effort by established associations (The Mathematical Association of America and the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics) to recognize and deal with the unique problems of two-year college mathematics teachers.
