Abstract: Abstract In this lecture, we shall use Taylor’s series to study zeros of analytic functions. We shall show that unless a function is identically zero, about each point where the function is analytic there is a neighborhood throughout which the function has no zero except possibly at the point itself; i.e., the zeros of an analytic function are isolated. We begin by proving the following theorem.
