Chapter Lecture 34 in An Introduction to Complex Analysis, 2011, pp 229-234 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In previous lectures, when evaluating the real improper integrals we assumed that the integrand has no singularity over the whole interval of integration. In this lecture, we shall show that by using indented contours some functions which have simple poles at certain points on the interval of integration can be computed.
