Abstract: Abstract This case explains how information system is used as a comprehensive, integrated strategic tool in Mayfair which helps to manage the administrative, financial, and customer delight aspects of a chain of hotels. The case also illustrates how the information system ensures smooth flow of information between different departments which reduces costs and improves the accuracy and timeliness of customer care, new business strategy implementation, and management reporting. The case has been developed through visits to the hotel and secondary sources of information. This case can be taught in Information System Strategy course, hospitality certification programs, postgraduate diploma courses, executive MBA programs, MCA and MSc (Computer Science) courses. The case can be used to illustrate the following themes:
