Abstract: Abstract Paul Erdős was a giant of twentieth century mathematics. Born in 1913 he was a child prodigy whose talents were well cultivated in his native Budapest. Dubbed Der Zauberer von Budapest he moved onto the world stage in his early 20s. And there he stayed, extraordinarily active right until his death in 1996.
