Abstract:
Abstract Transforms are useful for a wide variety of mathematical problems. This chapter will discuss three kinds of transforms: Fourier transforms, Laplace transforms, and wavelet transforms. The Laplace transform has only one type and is rather simple. The Fourier transform has many different varieties that depend on the space under investigation. The method depends on the dimensions of the space and whether it is bounded. Wavelets are a new type of transform.
