Abstract:
Abstract The paper discusses the theory of vaporization and growth of an assembly of N-large interacting particles in two-component gaseous medium at high relative temperature differences in the particle vicinity. Vaporization and growth diffusive processes at low particle material concentrations are considered. Major mechanisms of volatile component molecule transport in the vicinity of an immovable aerosol particle are molecular diffusion and convective radial (Stefan) motion of gaseous medium. When the particle vaporization and growth occur at low material vapor concentrations, the major molecule transport mechanisms are diffusion and thermal diffusion. These vaporization and growth conditions are referred to as diffusive.
