Abstract: Abstract We will begin with light. After all, the universe began with light. “Dixit ‘Fiat lux.’Et lux erat.” We are—almost all of us—familiar with light from our infancy; we depend on it to guide our movements, we use it for communication, we shut it out when we go to sleep. Light pervades the universe.
