Darren Redfern: Practical Approach
A chapter in The Maple Handbook, 1994, pp 111-143 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract One area where Maple excels at saving you time and frustration is in solving equations and systems of equations. Everyone who has tried to solve even a simple system of equations by hand has experienced the havoc wreaked by making a simple mistake in arithmetic. Maple doesn’t make arithmetic mistakes or transcription errors. (But this doesn’t mean you should trust every Maple answer without question—checking the feasibility of your results is necessary whether you are using pencil and paper or a computer!)
