Abstract:
Abstract Our science has suffered a tragic loss. On April 14, 1935, Emmy Noether, our devoted collaborator at the Mathematische Annalen for many years, a highly unique person, and a scientist of great importance, died following a surgical operation. She was born in Erlangen on March 23, 1882, the daughter of the well-known mathematician Max Noether.
