Abstract Dénes König was born on September 21, 1884 in Budapest. His father Wcis Gyula König, the well-known professor of mathematics at the Technische Hochschule in Budapest, The early development of his mathematical talent was stimulated not only by his father but also by his outstanding teachers, Manó Beke and Miklós Szijjártó.
