Political Analysis

Chapter Chapter 9 in Politics in Software Development, 2022, pp 95-103 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Tactics are the basic unit of action in organizational politics, and consequently, they also play a central role in its analysis. Researchers and practitioners have made many attempts to describe and explain fundamental tactics and create lists of the most popular ones. These efforts have come from diverse backgrounds with different perspectives, and not all of the work was very systematic. It has led to a scattered, disjoint body of literature concerning tactics. In this chapter, we first present a simple analytical framework based on tactics, and subsequently, we provide a short overview of the related literature.
