Create Value Through Customer Progress, Not by Meeting Requirements
Amarinder Sidhu
Chapter Chapter 2 in Becoming a Software Company, 2023, pp 25-47 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The value that can be created with software isn’t some function of meeting business requirements at the lowest cost possible. With a medium like software, you can create billions of dollars of value without much cost. Just as easily, you can end with little to no value at the cost of billions of dollars. To avoid the failures in creating value, everything you build should pass a timeless test of value. It should create progress in the lives of your customers and users.
