Chapter Chapter 6 in The Startup Players Handbook, 2023, pp 177-206 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract A curious aspect of growing companies is that as we add more people, we find our teams are not as effective per capita as they once were. Sometimes it feels like a growing adventuring party is all focused on the same opponent in a round, even though the foe has been vanquished. This is because people need coordination. The previous chapter focused on leadership as a source of inspiration for an organization, but leadership becomes less effective over time when execution falls short. That often happens because we aren’t intentional with how we coordinate our efforts.
