Look Around You
Ivan Voras
Chapter Chapter 1 in The European VC-Funded Startup Guide, 2023, pp 1-17 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The startup concept originated in the US, and this is why the vast majority of available books, tutorials, blogs, YouTube channels and other media are approaching the topic from the US point of view. While this is, broadly speaking, fine, because learning from a success is a positive thing, there are many nuanced issues which are too different to be applied in an European context, and especially the Eastern European context. This chapter presents an overview of the most important differences and presents some ways to get around them.
