A chapter in The Great Facilitator, 2019, pp 71-77 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Most people can quickly point to the one or two individuals who were most helpful in their career. The competitive nature of higher education, teamwork, and collegial academic partnerships are not only helpful but vital for a successful career. Because of reciprocal nature of these collegial partnerships, we seldom hear about individuals who have selflessly contributed to the advancement of many while still managing to remain relevant in an ever-changing industry. Joe Hair Jr.’s long and illustrious career is highlighted with a list of achievements that is rivaled by few in the industry. Much of Joe’s success is attributed to his role as an educator, mentor, facilitator, and role model. Beyond these characteristics, Joe’s success can be attributed to the selfless way he treats others.
