Chapter Chapter 14 in Reverberations of a Stroke, 2019, pp 57-60 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract To place Life within a context of Gratitude is a great secret that is best realized and conceived of by each of us in our own way. Like many survivors of harrowing near-death events, I too have come away with a deep feeling of gratitude following my stroke. But it is not just gratitude at having survived the stroke. It is more a deep feeling of contentment. I feel an overall sense of peace and now easily experience the joy of the simplest of things. I find myself grateful for many small events throughout the day. I love my life and the people in it. I wonder why others are not more grateful for their daily lives.
