Chapter 6 in Corporate Governance and Sustainability, 2019, pp 173-181 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter summarizes the contribution offered by this research project to the debate on the governance of sustainability. Starting from the recognition of the increasing demand for corporate governance suitable for considering also social and environmental issues, the chapter puts in evidence how the research project helped to fill the identified gap in the literature, underlining the contribution of each single chapter. Subsequently, the challenges for the future of the governance of sustainability are presented, as well as insights for policymakers and practitioners. The chapter ends with a discussion of the limitations of the study and of the opportunities for future research.
