Abstract: Abstract This chapter is dedicated to the need of organizations to specialize (called the “left wing” of an organization). This chapter deals with the question of how to properly form jobs and units so that they let employees become productive and accountable. To this end, the chapter derives eight fundamental principles for the formation of jobs or units.
