A chapter in Imagine Math 7, 2020, pp 423-433 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract A woman, a man, a house. Acqua Alta is the story of a catastrophe and a dive into the imaginary realms of water. It is a book whose drawings and paper volumes become the décor of a story, only visible in augmented reality. It is a dance duo in a set of living images that bear the delicate and curious presence of digital animism. And it is an experience for a single virtual reality headset offering spectators the ability to immerse themselves in a specific moment of the story. Created by Adrien M & Claire B, Acqua Alta came into being in January 2019. Established in 2011 by Claire Bardainne and Adrien Mondot, the company Adrien M & Claire B creates work that brings together the visual arts and the performing arts. Their shows and installations immerse the body in images, they blend sensitive and handcrafted art with digital devices.
