Chapter Chapter 3 in Heron Streaming, 2021, pp 33-45 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Heron is mainly coded in Java, C++, and Python. In this chapter, we will examine the source code with Bazel. We will also prepare the compiling environment and compile the code to generate bundled TARs, the installation script, and API packages. They will be used for writing topologies and managing the topology life cycle. We will also run unit tests and integration tests.
