Chapter Chapter 5 in Heron Streaming, 2021, pp 61-79 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Heron provides a bunch of APIs for writing topologies, among which the low-level API includes Java, Python, and C++ language versions. In this chapter, we will start by designing a topology structure, next code each spout and bolt, and then compose them into a topology. We will show both Java and Python implementations. Moreover, we will run the topology and print the tuple flow, which verifies our designed topology structure.
