Index Formulae
John Astin ()
Chapter Chapter 8 in Measuring EU Inflation, 2021, pp 121-133 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The issue of index formula has in recent years become a major topic of discussion among producers and users of consumer price indices. But in the early days of the HICP it did not rank quite so high in the discussions, though it was always regarded as an important issue. Most of the controversies surrounding this topic focus on the formula used at the level of the elementary aggregate.
