Abstract: Abstract This chapter provides an introduction to permutation statistical methods and an overview of the next 10 chapters. The following chapters include presentations of conventional and permutation statistical methods for measures of central tendency, variability, one-sample tests, two sample-tests, multi-sample test, correlation and regression, and measures of association. The contents of each chapter is described and summarized in considerable detail in this chapter.
