Chapter Chapter 5 in State Corporate Control in Transition, 2021, pp 157-202 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The chapter discusses the main effects of shaping up and evolution of the state corporate control from two perspectives. The first one is the level of meeting the goals of the state corporate control policy as (mostly implicitly) set by the government and from the point of view of meeting the overall goals of transition in this area. The second perspective shows evolution and the current state of the place of state ownership in the Polish economy in three dimensions: its scale (number of SOEs and their share in the whole enterprise sector), extent of state ownership in different sectors and branches of the economy, and importance of the SOEs measured by their share among the most important companies in the country.
